New GH¢5 note out; Kwegyir Aggrey replaces ‘big six’

The Bank of Ghana will from Tuesday, March 7, 2017, circulate a new GH¢5 Ghana note with new security features and design. The note is being introduced as part of the Central Bank’s 60th anniversary, which falls on March 4, this year.

Wa Co-operative Credit Union records 80% profit decline

The net surplus of the Wa Co-operative Credit Union (WACCU),  reduced from GH₵435,000 in 2013  to a meager amount of GH₵87,000 during the  2014 financial year,  representing a decline of 80 percent in profit.
