A former Member of Parliament for Madina, Alhaji Seidu Amadu Sorogho has urged all members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency to come together and work towards the victory of the party, ahead of the 2020 general elections.

He also urged the leaders of the party in Madina to cautious of their utterances so as not to bring about disunity.

Speaking to Accra based Power FM, he stated the party was poised to reclaiming the parliamentary seat in the 2020 polls, but their chances could be ruined if the party failed to propagate its policies well to the people.

“I have heard some people are saying this is payback time…We are focused on winning the seat so we have to be united and mind the way we talk, ” he said.

Alhaji Sorogho is of the view that when the candidates who contested in the NDC Parliamentary primary in Madina come together and support the party’s campaign the NDC can reclaim the seat and “continue with the good works of the NDC” in the area.

His advice comes barely two weeks after Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu was voted for as the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Madina.

He defeated former National Youth Organiser of the NDC, Sidii Abubakar; a former Presiding Member of the Madina La-Nkwantanan Municipal Assembly, Faila Ibrahim and Hajia Rukiya Abubakar in the August 24 polls.
