President Akufo Addo yesterday, November 5th commissions a new state of the art boys dormitory for Vakpo Senior High School in the North Dayi District as part of his two day tour of the Volta Region.
The 500 bed capacity dormitory which comes with a modern washroom will supplement the over four decade old dormitory block which currently accommodate the students.
The need for the new dormitory became necessary following an upsurge in the students population following the introduction of the free senior High School policy.
The president in a brief interaction with staff and students assured the school of government’s continuous support for infrastructural development.
He further charged the beneficiaries of the Free Senior High School policy to take their studies seriously.
The president was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Volta Regional Minister Hon Archibald Letsa, the District Chief Executive for North Dayi, Hon. Edmond Attah Kujo, the District Director of Education for North Dayi, Madam Benedict Akatse and a host of other dignitaries.
